Advertised Job Summary:To perform technical work in the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) automated control systems and the maintenance of building automated Energy Management Systems (EMS) at the National Advocacy Center and other Department of Justice leased spaces/properties.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience:Requires job related accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Proficient working knowledge of HVAC controls and Energy Management systems, knowledge of mechanical equipment, pumping and steam systems, chilled and hot water systems, as well as, a sound knowledge of air conditioning, heating, ventilation, electrical, and other related trades. Ability to read low voltage and controls flow diagrams, and proficient with testing instruments and calibration tools. Must have the ability to lead by example, work well with peers and outside departments and other business professionals. Must be able to solve problems, take initiative, develop strong customer relationships, measure cost and performance, keep accurate records, develop proper procedures, and communicate effectively.
Job Duty:- Maintains and follows a safe, productive, cost effective, and comprehensive planned and corrective maintenance program for constant and reliable operations relating to building automated HVAC control systems.

- Must be proficient with troubleshooting multi-meter, voltmeter, current meter, refrigerant gauges, and other mechanical test and measurement instruments.
