Responsibilities
- Directs the University Business Administrators (UBA) program at the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy (COSSPP), which includes procurement, travel, accounts payable & disbursement services, accounting & property services, and departmental human resources administration. Responsible for assisting in the strategic planning, management, administrative direction, and direct oversight of UBA staff positions in relation to fiscal activities and administrative functions, including the office administrators within the college’s academic departments. Serves as the Division of Finance & Administration principle representative.
- Responsible for oversight and monitoring of the day to day financial position for the academic departments within COSSPP.
- Coordinates and manages the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, and evaluation of all UBA staff in the academic departments within COSSPP. Directs site staff in duties necessary to ensure accurate and timely transactions, preparation of financial reports and other related business functions.
- Provides financial advice and counsel to the Chairs and Department Heads and assists with implementation of university financial, human resources, business and administration policies, procedures and business processes to ensure compliance.
- Serves as the liaison for COSSPP and UBA participating departments with university central offices. Works directly with the Dean to accomplish special projects, functions, and reports providing support for the future success of the college and its units.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and four years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)
Preferred Qualifications
Significant supervisory experience.
