Job Summary
- Create original content and performing live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative.
- Demonstrate ability to research proper names, stats, and sports specific vocabulary for all teams and games.
- Memorizes script, reads, or ad-libs to identify station, introduce and close shows, and announce station breaks, commercials, or public service information.
- Records interviews of guest, sports personalities, and edits interviews.
- Interviews guest, and moderate panel or discussion show to entertain audience.
- Attends live, in-person appearances as scheduled by the station or requested by clients.
- Provides live reports from site of event. ¿ Ensures logged sponsors, promotions, liners and any other programming element essential to the station's operations are aired.
- Create compelling social media and digital content for the station¿s various channels (Facebook, Instagram, website etc ¿ Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly
- Operate the control board and perform production work
- Make personal appearances at station events and remote broadcasts
- Other duties as required by management
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at UWG.
- Student must have a 2.0 GPA or higher.
- Must have a basic knowledge of either UWG or other esports competitions
- Computer skills for audio delivery and automation systems, such as WideOrbit, Adobe Audition, etc.
All students must have completed one or more of the following courses:
- In house WIT Training Course
- COMM 3351 Radio Program Production
- COMM-3352 Fundamentals of Television Production
- COMM-3353 Fundamentals of Film & Video Production
- COMM 4421 Radio Practicum
- COMM 4485 Sports Communication
- COMM-3354 Digital Social Media & Society.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior on-air, podcasting, or calling live sports events through air check
- Experience voicing and/or creating commercial production.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer skills for audio delivery and automations systems, such as WideOrbit, Adobe Audition etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:

- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Majority of work day will be spent sitting at broadcast board, speaking into a microphone and manipulating board controls.
