Job Summary
The Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Sport Management will be responsible for teaching sport management courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Primary responsibilities include course and curriculum development, engaging in research and scholarship, participating in departmental, college, and university committees and initiatives, and other assigned duties. The successful candidate may teach courses such as Introduction to Sport Analytics, Big Data and Statistical Analysis in Sport, Analytics in Sport Business, Applied Network Analysis in Sport, Strategic Management of Sport Organizations, Research and Assessment in Sport, Revenue Generation in Sport, Sport Marketing and Promotion, and other relevant areas within the program.
Responsibilities
1-
Teach three (3) classes per semester, with a potential mix of in-person, hybrid, and 100% online undergraduate and graduate level courses.

Engage in ongoing scholarly activities such as publishing research, presenting at conferences, and submitting external and internal grant applications, with a focus on advancing knowledge in college athletics and sport analytics.

Provide service to the department, college, and university through involvement in committees and community initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Required Education:
Terminal degree in Sport Management, or a closely related field. ABD candidates will be considered if the degree is to be conferred by the start of employment (Aug 1).
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience:
Ability to teach face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Established record of research and publication in academic journals.
Capability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in sport management, with an emphasis on collegiate athletics and sport analytics.
Proposed Salary
Salary is commensurate with experience.
