Postdoctoral Researcher in Cancer Epigenomics and Transcriptional Addiction, laboratory of Dr. Irfan A. Asangani, Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania
The laboratory of Dr. Irfan A. Asangani in the Department of Cancer Biology is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to investigate epigenetic basis of drug resistance in cancer. The laboratory seeks to understand the role of epigenetic regulators in cancer pathophysiology by utilizing a multidisciplinary approach from high-throughput sequencing-based techniques, molecular biology, biochemistry, in vivo mouse models of cancer, and pharmacological interventions. For further information on the research see Nature (2014 PMID # 24759320), Molecular Cell (2013 PMID # 23159737), Cell Reports (2018 PMID # 29490263), Cancer Research (2018 PMID # 29898995) Cancer Discovery (2019 PMID # 31466944), Cancer Discovery (2020 PMID # 32188706), iScience (2021 PMID # 33681723).
Candidates should have obtained a Ph.D. degree in biomedical sciences. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated, highly independent, and creative team players. Applicants with a strong experimental background in biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology and/or epigenetics are encouraged to apply. Previous experience in bioinformatics is appreciated but not strictly required.
