The Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the Perelman
School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks
candidates for an Instructor position in the Academic Support
Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and
continuation during that time period and renewal are based on
satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to
three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of
environmental epidemiology, biostatistical analysis, exposure
assessment using biomarkers and geospatial datapoints. Prior
experience with environmental neuroscience using epidemiologic
studies is preferred. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent
degree.
Responsibilities may include data analysis of complex environmental
epidemiologic projects, reporting, and translating research
findings to environmental health preventions, presentation at
national and international scientific meetings.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop an
independent research career in environmental epidemiology and
specialize in children's environmental health for exposures to
heavy metals, persistent organic pollutants, endocrine disrupting
chemicals, chemical mixtures, air pollution and climate
change.
