Position Summary:Job SummaryThe CMSU Intern will support the various programs offered by our agency through shadowing, engagement in projects as needed, meeting with and providing direct services to individuals involved in behavioral health and developmental support services, and engaging in other duties as assigned. This position is defined as a non-exempt position under FLSA regulations.
Specific ResponsibilitiesThe intern would be expected to travel to one of our Danville offices. Duties will vary based on the department’s needs and the skill level of the student. The person in this position will work with various age groups and demographics and must be willing to meet with individuals in office, community, and/or home settings. The intern may also be asked to assist with data entry and other non-client direct services.

- Exhibit professionalism and flexibility when representing CMSU and when interacting with individuals receiving our services.
- Understand the importance of confidentiality and ethical behavior when working with sensitive information.
EducationJunior or Senior. Psychology major.
ExperienceRequired to have taken Psychological Disorders course prior to the start of the internship. Preference will be given to applicant who have taken Theories of Psychotherapy.
LocationThis position is located in Danville, PA
Additional RequirementsThis position is paid $15.00 per hour, with an estimate of 37.5 hours weekly. Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse clearance and an FBI criminal history check are required for this position.
Physical Demands- Position requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Position requires occasional manual dexterity and the ability to climb stairs and get into and out of vehicles.
