Position Summary::Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is looking for a supervisor for our Operations Support Center team in our Continuing Education division. The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the Operations Support Center team including conducting/completing performance evaluations for all Operations Support Center Specialists. The Operations Support Center Supervisor will collaborate with members of the Corporate and Continuing Education to ensure the delivery of superior programming and stellar customer service to internal and external customers.
Required Education/Experience::- Bachelor’s degree in field related to area of assignment and two (2) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills::- Experience or training in business process improvement
- Understanding of North Carolina’s audit requirements and regulations. Strong knowledge of the college’s course offerings, policies and procedures on course registration, course payment and refunds
- Familiarity with Destiny 1 and Colleague student management systems preferred
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities::- Supervisory skills
- Ability to make decisions and handle conflicts or difficult/sensitive situations
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Excellent customer service skills and people skills
- Proficiency with office software.

Duty and Responsibility::Schedules and monitors Operations Support Center staff based on regular and peak registration times.
Duty and Responsibility::Conducts employee performance evaluations.
Duty and Responsibility::Coaches and mentors’ staff for skills improvement and to determine training needs
Duty and Responsibility::Provides training to staff in the following areas: orientation, registration, tracking procedures, audit requirements, contract generation, roster processing, customer service policies/skills, course/section entry and tracking
Duty and Responsibility::Assists with the development of new and improved processes for the department.
Duty and Responsibility::Approves course conflicts, class capacity, and business office holds.
Duty and Responsibility::Manages payroll for Corporate and Continuing Education adjunct faculty.
Duty and Responsibility::Performs other duties as assigned.
