Job Description:
The Department of Management, Marketing, and Information systems at Hong Kong Baptist University invites applications for the above positions. Faculty members in the Marketing discipline regularly publish their research in top-tier marketing journals such as Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing, and Journal of Marketing Research. Research focused applicants interested in joining our vibrant and growing team are strongly encouraged to apply.
We are looking for candidates who (i) hold a PhD in Marketing or a related field with expertise in quantitative marketing and empirical modelling utilising applied economics and statistical methods such as structural modelling, causal inference, or machine learning techniques; and (ii) are open-minded and committed to teaching excellence at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Applicants for the Research Assistant Professor position should demonstrate strong potential in research and teaching. Applicants for the Associate Professor or Assistant Professor positions should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in research and teaching and be prepared to collaborate with colleagues. Evidence of the ability to publish in top-tier journals and secure external competitive research grants is required. Interviews may be conducted via Zoom or on the HKBU campus in Hong Kong at a later stage.
The compensation package, teaching loads, and research support are highly competitive. The initial appointment will be on a fixed-term, gratuity-bearing contract of three years, commencing September 2025 or the earliest available date. Reappointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. The appointment for Assistant Professor or higher will be made on a tenure-track basis. Outstanding candidates at the Associate Professor level may be considered for tenure upon appointment.
