We are seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to join our team in School of Health and Wellbeing, University of Glasgow.

The successful candidate will work on the SOCITS study – a Socially Situated Systems approach to measuring and modelling adolescent health, working with Dr. Mark McCann and colleagues.

The post holder will have experience of applying systems science methods such as participatory systems mapping and social network analysis to understand adolescent stress, loneliness and mental health.

The post will involve collaborative writing of research publications based on a range of datasets, and running tutorials on project-specific methods such as social network analysis. The post holder will have extensive knowledge and experience in advanced quantitative methods. Experience of statistical modelling of network data using R is essential.

This is an ideal position for someone with strong writing and analytical skills, an interest in developing research methods, and in delivering advanced methods training. You will join a supportive, welcoming team of interdisciplinary scholars, gaining exposure to a wide assortment of research.

Funding for this post is available from 21st June until the 21st December 2025.

This position is full time and fixed term for up to 6 months (proposed start date 21st June 2025).
