This role is an excellent chance to work hands-on with cutting-edge simulation equipment, supporting innovative, high-quality learning experiences for our students.
You will work alongside a passionate and supportive team of academic and technical colleagues, contributing directly to the training of future healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Communications
- Engage professionally and clearly with students on a variety of topics related to their learning and use of technology-enhanced resources.
Resources
- Order and manage resources as needed, ensuring adherence to Best Value practices.
- Support all divisions within HSC with technology-enhanced learning, ensuring that all equipment is updated, maintained, and accessible when required.
Problem Solving
- Provide timely and effective solutions to issues that arise during laboratory sessions to maintain the flow of practical learning for students.
Essential Criteria:
- Strong teamwork skills – ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to support student learning and technological needs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with students and staff.
- Problem-solving ability – capable of quickly identifying and resolving technical issues in a high-pressure learning environment.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working with simulation-based technology or similar equipment
- Previous experience in a higher education or healthcare setting.

Skills and qualifications required
The successful candidate will possess 5 GCSEs at A-C or equivalent, including English and Maths, A level (or equivalent) along with HNC or equivalent experience. A degree in relevant subject is desirable.
Our ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and use own initiative as well as work as part of a part of a team, have good communications skills with all relevant stakeholders and have good interpersonal and organisation skills; demonstrated ability to work independently and show initiative.
