Description
This is a part time salaried and exempt position. 25-29 hours/week; dependent on practice and game schedule. Temp/Seasonal position.
The dates of employment will be 5/1/25-3/31/26. The position is paid over 11 months at 1,418.18 per month ($15,600 total).
Position Overview & Job Duties:
This position's primary duty is coaching (teaching) (90%). The coach will provide daily instruction to student-athletes to increase their knowledge and understanding of the sport. Provide strategic direction, leadership, and motivation to prepare student-athletes. Plan, organize and conduct practices to enhance the team's execution. Educate and enforce safety rules and regulations. Plan and direct physical conditioning programs that will enable athletes to achieve maximum performance. Educate individuals or groups in rules, strategies, techniques, and principles relevant to their particular sport. Evaluate athletes' skill level and review performance records to determine their fitness and potential in a particular area of athletics. Keep abreast of changing rules, techniques, technologies, and philosophies relevant to their sport. Ensure compliance with all ACHA rules and regulations for their respective sport program.

Coordinates, schedules, advertises and runs team.
Teaches/coaches hockey technique and skills.
Approximately 90% of time is spent teaching/coaching.
Schedules and attends all practices for team.
Attends all applicable practices and games.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
Requires the application of expertise in the sport to achieve results. Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification must be provided. Appropriate professional accomplishments and credentials.
Qualifications/Experience Preferred:
Coaching experience with leading planning, including program development and innovation, program prioritization, recruiting, fundraising and assessment.
