Description of Post
As Senior Lecturer within the Department of Pharmacy, this is a senior leadership role and you will report to the Head of Department of Pharmacy. You will be expected to play a key role in the leadership of the MPharm programme including in the ongoing development and accreditation, professional and regulatory body compliance of the new MPharm degree programme aiming to commence in September 2025.
Specifically, the successful applicant will be expected to contribute their professional and academic expertise and experience in steering and delivering teaching, learning, assessment, quality assurance and enhancement and ongoing curriculum design of the Master of Pharmacy programme.
Essential Qualifications
- An MPharm Degree at Level as specified in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), or equivalent pharmacy qualification
- Minimum of 5 years relevant post-qualifying experience in a Pharmacy education context
- Experience in delivery of an MPharm programme or equivalent programme leading to qualification as a pharmacist
- Proven motivational, teamwork and leadership skills, including in academic settings
- Experience in the use of and monitoring of pharmacy evidence-based practice.
