Description of Post
Appointment(s) may be on a fixed term/pro-rata/part-time basis as required at Assistant Lecturer level. A panel will be created for any vacancies that may arise in the future.
Please note: The postholder will be based at the ATU Donegal, Letterkenny Campus.
Essential Qualifications
Minimum
- An Honours (2.2 or higher) Level 8 degree as specified in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) or equivalent majoring in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Three years relevant post graduate experience, i.e. 3 years relevant experience having gained the qualifications above.
Desirable
- Successful candidates will have extensive knowledge and practical experience in Electrical and Electronic engineering.
- A Master's degree in a relevant Level 9 Programme [as specified in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)] or equivalent.
- A postgraduate qualification preferably at PhD level
- Significant industry and/or research experience in the area of electronics, electrical engineering and/ or renewable energy technologies
- Third level teaching experience (online and face to face)
- Research experience
- Experience in programme development and implementation
- Supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
- Flexible and adaptable
- Ability to teach effectively
- Good communication skills, organisational skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
€46,140 to €62,479 pro rata
