- Starting salary: $112,892 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)
About the Role
You will work with academic staff to support the development and delivery of curriculum for UniSA Online’s sociology and criminology programs. Key responsibilities include applying discipline-related expertise to deliver high-quality online teaching to undergraduate students, contributing to the digital transformation of courses, and coordination and day-to-day management of online tutoring staff. This role will specifically focus on UniSA Online’s sociology portfolio, with a particular focus in criminology.

Core Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development and teaching of course curricula and materials for new, fully online, undergraduate programs
- Work collaboratively to design and implement learning activities and teaching methodologies
- Undertake teaching and course coordination, including the moderation of assessment activities, learning support and evaluation
- Provide academic support, mentoring and advice to students
- Undertake administrative functions connected to courses taught
Essential Skills and Experience
- A postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline, such as sociology or criminology, or relevant work experience
- Evidence of recent teaching experience and discipline knowledge within a relevant field
- Demonstrated passion for and proficiency in undertaking teaching duties, including the design and preparation of online teaching activities and resources
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of a wide range of education technologies such as learning management systems (LMS – e.g. Moodle or Canvas), and virtual classrooms
- Understanding and experience in using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies, including the ability to develop supportive online learning environments
