Job Description Summary / TWC Summary:TSU seeks a dynamic and innovative Assistant Professor of Music to join our faculty. Essential Duties Summary:- Teach undergraduate courses within the music curriculum, which may include core undergraduate theory courses as well as upper-level undergraduate courses.
- Develop and teach courses in areas of expertise, contributing to the growth and diversification of the program.
- Mentor and advise undergraduate students, providing guidance on academic and career paths.
- Engage in scholarly activities, research, and/or creative work appropriate to the field.
- Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and program development.
- Contribute to the department’s efforts in re-envisioning and revitalizing its programs.
- Demonstrate a commitment to working effectively with students from intersecting social groups and first-generation college students.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Range:$52,592.60 - $68,370.00
Education:Doctoral degree (PhD/DMA) and demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level.

- A clear vision for the future of music education and a commitment to preparing students for the global musical landscape.
- Ability to effectively integrate technology into instruction.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
