Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:- Bachelor’s degree in institutional planning, public administration, engineering, architecture, interior design, business administration, technology or a related discipline
- At least two years of cumulative experience in facilities management including facilities maintenance and repair, utilities production and distribution, grounds maintenance, and/or custodial services in a higher education environment.
Preferred Qualifications:- At least 5 years of cumulative experience in facilities management including facilities maintenance and repair, utilities production and distribution, grounds maintenance, and/or custodial services in a higher education environment.
- Master’s degree in business administration, building science, engineering, community/urban planning, architecture, or interior architecture design. Facilities Management Certifications (CEFP, CEM, and/or IFMA).
Job Description:Oversees the operations, maintenance, utilities production and
distribution, custodial, landscape and waste management services at the university.
Job Duties:- Directs the activities of diverse and specialized trade functions performing facilities, utility, and grounds maintenance repair
- Serves as a strategic space broker to enhance overall space utilization at the University and establishes the best use of space.
- Working with the Registrar’s Office, College Deans, Department Chairs, and School Directors, recommends classroom scheduling effectiveness solutions.
- Co-leads, in partnership with Facilities Planning, Design, and Construction, the development of space-related options for accommodating identified space needs based on programmatic requirements.
- Provides oversight for management of physical and electronic active records related to TXST’s built environment in accordance with industry best practices.
Additional Information to Applicants:- This position requires driving University vehicles.
