Organization
Manages and reconciles Dean's Office state accounts. Responsible for purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, deposits, transfers, budget revisions, and entering travel claims. Some financial report preparation. Enters ePAFs. Monitors the annual budget for college. Works closely with Directors of each school to assist with budget monitoring and training. Serves as liaison with schools and university offices.
Duties:
- Provides management, administration and or analysis and evaluation of financial activities within a college or complex university departmentManage and Reconcile Dean's State AccountsDevelop and monitor the annual budget for the collegeDevelop and maintain internal controls and accounting proceduresAdvise regarding audit responsesDesign and oversee the preparation of reports requiring the consolidation of a large volume of highly complex accounting and financial data into formats suitable for presentationPrepare Purchasing, transfers, bid requests, budget revisions, etcDevelop, implement and maintain financial and budget systems to ensure proper allocation of expenditures and compliance with applicable regulations. Supervise a major complex segment of the University's financial operationTrain staff and directors on financial systems/budgetServe as liaison with schools and university offices Provides leadership and coordination to various technical personnel engaged in specified project activities, as appropriate.Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position
Job Location
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field, AND:
- 36 months experience in financial/accounting position to include analysis, auditing and budgeting
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months experience in lieu of BS Degree for a total of 84 months experience.

- Ability to build rapport with students, faculty, and staff
- Ability to produce reports and complete work within deadlines
