The Energy-Economy-Environment (E3) Systems Analysis research group (
https://e3sa.sites.clemson.edu) at Clemson University is hiring a postdoc to work on a Department of Energy-funded project:
An Inverse Design Methodology to Fabricate Low-Cost Agile Tools for Manufacturing Lightweight Automotive Components (
https://e3sa.sites.clemson.edu/Projects/InverseDesign.html). The postdoc will lead the E3 analysis task for the project and other duties as assigned. Conducting research to develop life cycle assessment (LCA) and techno-economic analysis (TEA) models of the proposed technology and enable their integration into the inverse design methodology. Supervise graduate and undergraduate students working on the project. Assist with writing of quarterly and annual reports for the project to the Department of Energy. Attend project research meetings and provide updates to the team on research progress. This role will also have opportunities to develop and teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: PhD in a related science or engineering field. Preferred Education: Science or Engineering preferred. Preferred Experience: Experience with composite polymer systems would be beneficial. Minimum Experience: Experience in development of life cycle assessment models.
