Position Summary:
The Student Athlete Therapist/Psychologist - Football atOklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences (OSU-CHS) reports directlyto the Team Psychiatrist and is primarily responsible for providing a widearray of psychological services to football team student athletes in Stillwateron the OSU Campus.

-Be innovative Education & Experience Position Qualifications: Qualifications:
-Master’s or Doctorate degree in counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, social work, or closely related mental health field required
-Full licensure as professional counselor, social worker, or marriage and family therapist
-Background in working with athletes and/or high performers
-Minimum of 4 years’ experience in counseling or mental health setting
-Experience facilitating individual counseling with clients is required
Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge:
-Provide personal counseling services to student athletes via in person and video formats which include crisis intervention, psychotherapeutic, situational, relational, and developmental counseling
-Implement theory and evidence-based therapy programs and services
-Utilize technology as appropriate for off-site students and trainees
-Build community relations with efforts of establishing a referral platform
-Provide statistical reports regarding student engagement of services
-Document all patient interaction in the EMR system
-Participate in committees and meetings as assigned by the Team Psychiatrist
-Perform other duties as assigned.

-Background in working with college population
-Ability to empathize with diverse clients
-Experience in developing, teaching, and presenting behavioral health related classes and activity-based workshops
