The Division is comprised of the Ferguson College of Agriculture and two state agencies: the Oklahoma Agricultural Experiment Station and the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service. For more information, visit: https://agdivision.okstate.edu/Position Details: The successful candidate will join the finance team to provide financial services and complete financial-related processes and tasks for multiple and specific units and departments as assigned. This individual will support the Team Manager and team to prepare and review financial reports, reconciliations, revenue analyses, expense analyses, and encumbrance analyses, and assist with budget development and control for the departments they serve. The successful candidate will perform accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, purchasing, and budgeting. This position will work with the department heads, faculty members, and staff on the status of departmental and grant accounts. The successful candidate will also work with other finance team staff as well as other Finance and Business Operations staff within the Division. Accountant I or II title placement will be decided upon at the time of hire based on education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's in Accounting or related with 6 months related experience in accounting/bookkeeping. Recent and May 2025 graduates are encouraged to apply!
* Knowledge of accounting principles, accounting standards, and the ability to apply knowledge as appropriate to job responsibilities
* Knowledge of or willingness to learn state and federal funding regulations* Knowledge and practical application of generally accepted methods and practices related to accounting and finance activities* High level of integrity, accuracy, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail
Ability to work well with others and strong interpersonal skillsAbility to exercise great initiative and independent judgment* Ability to maintain confidential information* Ability to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously* Critical thinking skills necessary to analyze problems and formulate solutions* Commitment to a professional demeanor always and in all circumstances* Must be able to communicate orally and in writing with clear, grammatically correct English and prepare complex reports on deadline* Requires diplomacy, discretion, and independent judgment when interacting with supervisors, colleagues, students, alumni, & advisory committee members and the public
* Computer skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams) and Adobe
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants with five years’ job-related experience and/or those with experience in Banner, Quickbooks, and OKCorral.
Extensive experience in accounting, business and/or finance, a high level of integrity, an ability to work well with others and strong interpersonal skills.
