The administrative assistant in the Office of Communications and Marketing will provide administrative support and assistance with department operations for a staff of 26 full-time employees and student interns. The position will report to the senior director and work closely with the associate director of the department. The administrative assistant will oversee human resources coordination for the department, and coordinate and conduct business transactions for purchasing, travel reimbursements, accounts payable/receivable, scheduling of resources and management of day-to-day operations and business activities in support of the overall success of the Office of Communications and Marketing.
This is an in-person position with a duty-reporting station on the OSU campus in Stillwater. Work hours should not exceed 30 hours per week with a schedule determined prior to hiring.

Required:
Five years’ experience in administrative support, project management or related role. Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience. Reliable transportation for travel connected with official duties.Duty reporting is in-person on the OSU campus in Stillwater, Oklahoma..
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Skills, Proficiency:* Excellence in all aspects of customer service, management of human resources records, organizational skills.
* Must maintain trust and confidentiality and deliver accurate results in the expected time frame.
* Skilled at multi-tasking, adapting and reprioritizing on short notice.
* Excellent self-direction and initiative to complete tasks and projects.
* Careful attention to grammar, punctuation and typographical accuracy as well as meticulous attention to details and accuracy required.
* Proficient with standard office equipment, computers and software. Proficiency with Office 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) required.
* Fiscal affairs and project management experience preferred. *Proficiency with Banner HR preferred.* Experience developing and managing standard operating procedures preferred.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a wide range of people and programs.
Preferred:
Working knowledge and experience with OSU related systems and processes.
