Director of Student Health Services
UMass Dartmouth, a thriving public research university and critical engine of social mobility located on Massachusetts’ Southcoast, invites nominations and applications for the position Director of Student Health Services (Director). Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, the Director is responsible for the overall function and delivery of health care through the University’s Student Health Services department, whose unionized staff are a part of the Education Services Unit. Oversight includes Health Services, Health Education, and Health Promotions. The Director also supervises and provides guidance, advocacy, and support to the Student Health Resource Clinician for Holistic Health & Wellness in the design and implementation of prevention, wellness, and community health education programs for the campus. The Director works with staff to provide for the unique health needs presented by a diverse student population including adult students, minority students, international students, LGBT students, and students with disabilities. The Director follows the University's best practices to build and/or support student academic success and retention, and they assist in meeting strategic objectives for persistence and timely graduation of all the student population.
The ideal candidate will hold a master’s degree in nursing and certification as a family or adult nurse practitioner and will possess significant (over seven years) administrative experience in a health care agency and advanced practice experience. The competitive candidate will have experience of a clinical health care service within a higher education setting or with college-aged clients. Experience in health promotion and outreach education is preferred.
This is a full-time position that will be performed on-site in Massachusetts. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The salary range for this role is $125,000-140,000 and will include a generous benefits package.
