We seek a Lecturer in Architecture (0.4 FTE). The successful candidate should have extensive proven academic experience in undergraduate and or post graduate architecture design and technology teaching. In addition, they will be an experienced inspirational architect practitioner who has passion for the discipline with significant experience; able to work well across multidisciplinary teams at undergraduate and or postgraduate level as well as with external partners. They will be able to teach within and coordinate the technology elements of the portfolio alongside design studio teaching.
They will be highly motivated individuals, who will seek out interdisciplinary collaborative opportunities both within the UoG and externally; Able to engage with established mature networks, whilst also developing and cultivating new relationships. They will demonstrate good awareness and insight of the contemporary issues facing architecture as a discipline and profession, with a clear understanding of the distinct roles of architecture's two professional statutory regulatory bodies ARB and RIBA. They will also be aware of and able to contribute to the architectural education reforms – Tomorrows Architects.
Programmes at Greenwich aim to address and define positive trends and understanding in the field of architecture, to posit new aesthetic systems and codes of representation, and to facilitate a body of creative knowledge, both practical and theoretical, that allows students to develop and refine their own design language, albeit within a rigorous academic framework.
